This large‑diaphragm condenser microphone features supercardioid polar pattern, suitable for recording studio and stage performance. It adopts gold‑plated diaphragm, which avoids inherent drawbacks of electret back‑plate even under extremely high sound pressure level. A pad attenuation switch is provided for maximum SPL with low‑distortion performance. The D828 achieves ‑10dB attenuation without distortion. Many mixing consoles with small transformers are prone to overload on‑stage, especially at low frequencies. D828 prevents such overload effectively. It is also equipped with a low‑cut switch to efficiently eliminate unwanted background noise, wind noise and distant wind interference. Housed in full metal cast chassis, the D828 offers excellent RF resistance when used near wireless devices or co‑deployed with them, enabling reliable operation in harsh environments. Built‑in shock‑mount capsule support suppresses handling noise effectively. D828 is an all‑round high‑performance microphone. If vibration degrades sound quality during use, secure the microphone into the included shock mount and tighten it for convenient practical application.
